Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of VaultRun ("we", "us"), a collectible hunting game operated from Ontario, Canada. By creating an account you accept these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may only make purchases with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We may suspend any account we reasonably believe belongs to an under-age user.
2. Bounty points are not money
Bounty points, Hunt Keys and Victory Crests are limited, revocable, non-transferable licences to in-game features. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be sold or traded outside VaultRun, and cannot be withdrawn. VaultRun is a skill contest, not gambling: outcomes are determined by solving puzzles and verifying real photographs, never by chance.
3. Purchases and refunds
Purchases of points, Hunt Keys and Elite Hunters Club membership are processed by our payment provider. Digital items are delivered immediately and are non-refundable once delivered, except where refund rights are required by law. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancel any time and access continues to the end of the paid period.
4. Staking and prize pools
When you publish a hunt, the points you stake leave your balance immediately and are held in that hunt's prize pool for 48 hours. Solvers are paid from that pool only; payouts can never exceed what you staked. You receive a 10% creator share of payouts made. Any points left unclaimed when the hunt expires return to you in full, and 100% returns if nobody solves it. Your loss can never exceed the amount you staked.
5. Verification and content
Photo verification uses automated image analysis. You keep ownership of photos you upload and grant us a licence to store, display and process them for gameplay, moderation and safety. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, content that is illegal, hateful, sexual or violent, or images you did not capture yourself. Automated verdicts can be disputed once per find; a human reviewer makes the final decision.
6. Fair play
No multiple accounts, bots, emulators, device spoofing, edited or re-used photos, shared answers outside your squad, or exploitation of bugs. We may void finds, remove points, restrict features, or terminate accounts for cheating or abuse. Point removals for confirmed cheating are final.
7. Real-world safety
You hunt at your own risk. Never trespass, break traffic laws, enter unsafe locations or hunt while driving. We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from your real-world activity.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, including the points economy, with reasonable notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your Vault. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms. Unspent points are forfeited on closure.
